Baked takes to the pitch

On Friday 29 August Baked will be fielding a team at The Worthing Foyer’s 6-a-side football tournament in aid of local children’s hospice, the Chestnut Tree House. Organised by Jordan Whyborne and Ben Aves, this event will see Baked go up against the Worthing Churches Homeless Project, West Sussex Probation, Blueprint 22, Phoenix and the Foyer to see who will be crowned champion.

The event is being hosted by Worthing Town FC, Palatine Park (1400-1700) and alongside the football there will be refreshments, a raffle and the opportunity to score a penalty against the Palatine Panda (the Worthing Town mascot). All of the proceeds from the event go directly to the Chestnut Tree House  and you can also make donations through the following link

On why he set up the event, Jordan said, “I wanted to do this so that some of the children at the hospice can have the chance to do something that they might not have been able to do before. It could be something that maybe their parents are unable to do and needs the specialist support or funds from Chestnut Tree or just a nice day out. We are all fortunate that we are able to go out and do whatever we want and takes things like playing football for granted. I hope that the money raised can make a difference like this.”

We are still looking to fill our squad so if you would like to part of this event and kick a ball around on behalf of Baked drop us a line (

Baked will be donating a cake akin to this to the raffle.
